This week the performance The Path is Made, by Verónica Ruht Frías, took place within the cycle, Vision and Presence, curated by Semíramis González. The action took place on May 25 at half past five. Hour and a half to prepare makeup and props. One of the characteristics of the performances of the artist from Malaga is their careful aesthetics, and between her colors she fights, red and lately The Phink, the latter as a concept and color protests in her famous short phrases turned into paintings, Pink Power .
It was not the first performance that she performed that day. In the morning, before the attentive gaze of the people who attended the event, including the Minister for Equality, she performed the performance, What does it look like? they are part of his life, and when he reaches the top, he repeats the question, as a symbol of what it has cost him to get to the place where he is doing the performance at that moment. The stack of books moves and she maintains her balance. She does this performance alone or with more collaborators. Another work that she usually does is the Last Supper at the Juan Gallery in Madrid.

Returning to Wednesday, the objective was to make the artist visible within the museum. Start a path that does not stop and that contemporary artists are recognized within state museums. If the collection barely houses 22 works by women, and all of them painters. Choose six paintings where the woman is represented plus that of the male, Carmen Cervera, for her essential role so that the collection is in Spain and we can enjoy it. In the following other visions, the self-portrait as an internal vision of the woman, the nude as a sexual claim and objectification of the image of the woman, the man above the woman at work, they in white holding the fish and they in the floor placing the fish, and with his back to the viewer, without a face. They front with their best clothes. In the oldest, the woman dressed up, and leaning on a prie-dieu, turning on a heater in the shape of a pot adorned with snakes, a symbol of deception and sin. In her hand is a jug that can hold oil or water. Ángela Kaufmann, Berthe Morisot, Liubov Popova, Gabriellle Münter, Natalia Goncharova and Varavana Stepanova, the chosen ones.
The action began in the museum hall, where the journalist Rebeca Marín Fraile, began with her words to contextualize the action by acting as a guide for those present, insisting on the low presence of women artists in the museum, and the importance of performance of Verónica Ruth Frías in the recognition of contemporary and old artists, who are lost among the paintings of the heteropatriarchy, which on the other hand is also good that they are founded, since it is the evidence of quality, and rupture of categories.

During the tour, Rebeca Martín sounded a Tibetan bowl to restart the action and end each exhibition. During the tour, the name of the artist was repeated, and the collaborators repeated the name of the painter with different tones, when arriving at each of the works, the position that the women interpreted in the painting had was taken, enhancing the postures of paintings and making them more powerful, in their three-dimensionality and repetition. The performance ended with the Pink power claiming position of the feminist artist, Ruht Frías. She was accompanied by: Ana Bayo, Ana Belpor, Asun Requena, Berta del Río, Lucía Peinado, Marie Delgado, Rebeca Marín and Elisa Miralles. In makeup and props: Alicia Rosuna, Ana Beltrán, Inés Escobar, Andrea Gil and Sara Katati.
The performance will be repeated soon at the Picasso Museum in Malaga.

Hola R.:

 recorrido...

Besicos.
